I never actually got to the beach, though! Fred's on vacation next week so maybe....Never got to the Frio River, either. And haven't gotten the work done in the kitchen (damaged ceiling and floors) yet, either.

This is my last "ME" week. Fred's on vacation the last LAST week of my vacation so we can do some stuff.

  1. Celebrate launch of boxed set Finding Love in All the Wrong Places
  2. Write
  3. Take out ads
  4. Day with Mom and good friend--going to Junk Gypsies!
  5. Work in yard
  6. study online course I signed up for LAST summer. Hope I can still access it!
  7. get hair cut so it will be nice when I go back to work in 2 weeks :(
  8. Finish watching True Blood and Game of Thrones
  9. sew
  10. play guitar (yep, still haven’t!)

Goals for One Normal Week!

Holy smokes, it's hot. I walked the dog and worked in the yard before EIGHT AM and had to come in and shower! Not even a breeze!

I had a little anxiety this morning because there are a lot of things I wanted to do this summer, both writing related and house related that I haven't done yet, and summer's winding down. I've done a lot of sewing and a lot of shopping, but not a lot of writing (maybe 50,000 words, not even 10,000 words a week!) and not a lot of cleaning. Plus we're behind on seeing movies, and I'm not sure we're going to catch up!

This week:
  1. Star Trek/Ghostbusters/Tarzan—yes, we’re behind. Last week was CRAZY.
  2. Write
  3. Take out ads
  4. Day with Mom
  5. Go stitch at my cross stitch store—it sounds like fun to at least try.
  6. Clean spare room
  7. Finish cleaning closet
  8. Finish cleaning middle room
  9. Work in yard
  10. sew
  11. play guitar (still haven’t played this summer!)

Goals the Week of Josh's Birthday

As I write this, we are getting a new roof. The skylights have been replaced (NO MORE LIGHTS ON DURING THE DAY!!!) Next up, new kitchen floor. I had a guy come out Friday to look and he was concerned it might be a tougher job than it appears. So I'll be calling again this week.

Also, we're having Josh's birthday party tomorrow evening here. So that means I'll be spending today and tomorrow getting the house ready. We're getting BBQ so I don't have to cook, but his girlfriend's family is coming, so I want the house to look nice.

I'm behind on my writing goals AGAIN. Too many interruptions, and I don't do well with those.

  1. Work on new Boom Town book
  2. Celebrate Josh’s 25th birthday
  3. Tarzan
  4. Ghostbusters
  5. Work on wedding planner research
  6. Day with Mom
  7. Take out ads
  8. Clean other hall closet
  9. sew
  10. play guitar (still haven't done this!)

Goals the Week of Independence Day

I started out the summer so good, making smoothies, eating fruit and vegetables. Last week I ate 2 dozen cookies. Waiting for the tree trimmers to come 3 days--they finally came Friday morning, and THEN I found out I didn't have to be here. Argh. But dang, I hate waiting.

But I got a lot of sewing done. I haven't made much of a dent in my stash, though.

Josh's birthday is coming up and we wanted to do the party next weekend but now it looks like that's when we'll be getting our roof. So....up in the air.
This week
  1. Write on Boom Town 6
  2. Release new Avalon book
  3. Celebrate Independence Day
  4. make pasta salad, watermelon margaritas and S’mores dip for the celebration
  5. Take out ads
  6. clean hall closet
  7. finish cleaning bedroom closet
  8. call more home repair people
  9. sew
  10. play guitar
