The wedding was gorgeous and a lot of fun. This week I have my brother's birthday to celebrate. AND I'm going to start going to the gym. I pre joined a gym they are opening the next exit down. It is supposed to open this week. I'm not looking forward to it so much as I am to looking forward to the changes it will make in me and my routine. We'll see.

So last week was good--EASY week at school, testing 4 days, and then art on Friday. But I had a crisis on my book in progress and decided to stop writing it. I wasn't loving the characters, there was very little chemistry, I wasn't sure how to get them on the page together. Now. I've written almost 50 books now. You'd think I'd know what I was doing. Noooo. So I was planning to put it aside--I actually still may, but I was talking to my husband and he said I should push on, give my heroine a reason to change so that I like her. I was trying to tell him I've established her in earlier books, but actually, now as I'm rereading them, she's not onstage as much as I thought. I had an idea how to shake her up, but I don't know if it will help. Meanwhile, I'm plotting the next book, and a couple of side projects to see if anything calls to me.
This is another easy week. We're off today, then tomorrow's a work day, so I'll only teach three days. I hope I remember how!
I used a picture of my own dog today. We were COLD this weekend, unusual for San Antonio!
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration in Glen Rose Texas. Fred rented a cabin at a B&B. It was cozy and romantic, and we had a private behind the scenes tour at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. I have literally wanted to go for decades. I wrote a oook a long time ago about zoo vets and did research on this place because of its intensive rhino breeding program. We rode around for 4 hours in an open bus, with a great tour guide. We fed red deer, giraffes, zebras, ostriches and emus, blackbucks and oryx. We saw Mexican wolves and maned wolves and cheetahs up close. It was so much fun. Cold--the wind chill was 42 as the front came in earlier than expected--but absolutely worth it. This week is benchmark testing at school. I didn't know until I checked my email Friday afternoon! I only worked 2 days last week, so I still won't be in the swing of things this week, just in the habit of going to work! This week:
Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I stated my goals. Maybe that's why I haven't done a very good job of KEEPING my goals.
My main resolution this year is to spend less time on social media. I have a crazy production schedule and in order to meet it, I need to be more disciplined. I'd rather give up social media than my sewing and cross stitching. So this week:
